Town Meeting · Meeting of May 28, 2026

Ware officials preview a 34-article Annual Town Meeting warrant set for June 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Ware High School Auditorium. Select Board member Ken Ouellette, Finance Committee Chair Richard Fly, and Town Manager Stuart Beckley appeared on Ware's public-access TV channel May 28 to walk residents through the meeting's format and content. The warrant covers fiscal year 2026 current-year adjustments, a consent agenda of routine annual items, three budget articles for water, sewer, and municipal operations, roughly a dozen capital articles for vehicles and infrastructure, a charter review, and two legislative-directive articles.

Beckley said the full packet with all dollar figures and board recommendations is targeted for posting to the town website by May 29, with a robocall alert to follow. The town's quorum threshold was recently lowered from 100 to 80 registered voters by the Select Board, though Fly noted attendance has been trending above 100, and without an approved budget before the July 1 fiscal year start, departments cannot fund services.
