Bank and mortgage entities were parties to most of Ware's August property transfers

Ware recorded 18 property transfers between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only five listed a sale price, ranging from $60,000 to $362,400 with a median of $95,000. The top disclosed sale was 148 Church St. at $362,400, sold by Denis R. and Janice Ouimette to Country Bank for Savings. Fifteen of the 18 transfers named a bank, credit union or mortgage servicer as buyer or seller, a pattern consistent with foreclosure and loan-related deed activity. With most prices undisclosed and no street-level clustering, the data offers limited grounds for broader conclusions about market tone this period.
